Ten Year Plans to End Homelessness
The purpose of developing a Plan to End Homelessness is to bring together all available community resources in order to achieve this common goal. Led by the National Alliance to End Homelessness and the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, there has been a national movement to change both the vocabulary about “addressing” homelessness and the methods used to solve this problem. Cities and counties across the United States have been urged to develop creative and innovative strategies for ending, not just addressing, homelessness.
CARES, Inc. provided technical assistance to Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady Counties in the development of their Ten Year Plans to End Homelessness and continues to coordinate the implementation of each of these Ten Year Plans to End Homelessness. CARES is also working with coalitions in Saratoga County and Dutchess County in the development of their Ten-Year Plans to End Homelessness.
